Aspiring Sinologist and amateur (in the most literal sense) cook who thinks cosmopolitanism belongs in a glass, not in academic work.

This blog started out as a place to read about my adventures in Shenzhen, China, where I a spent one semester doing fieldwork at Shenzhen Museum and taking Chinese language classes at Shenzhen University as part of my graduate degree. Having returned, I shall endeavour to continue posting China-related stuff regularly, be it an entire article, a recipe, or a photo with some thoughts.
